Military to Civilian Translation Sites

There are many military to civilian translation sites. Most permit a candidate to enter their MOS code or billet description and receive civilian wording that will let a recruiter or human resources person understand what the candidate did in the military.

It is very important that your resume be worded such that the recruiter understands the depth and breadth of a military candidate’s job functions, responsibilities and leadership skills.

Almost all of the translation sites you will find on the internet are based on these two sites:

O’Net Online: http://www.onetonline.org/crosswalk/MOC/
and
DOL’s America’s Career InfoNet: http://www.acinet.org/moc/

Be sure to use these sites to obtain the civilian wording for your resume and cover letter.
